Hillary Clinton blasted Sen. [crscore]Ted Cruz[/crscore] claiming that he is a very “mean-spirited guy.”
In an interview with Politico’s Glenn Thrush, Clinton said, “You can see it from how the Republican Party responds to him. It’s, you know, a difficult dilemma that they’re in, trying to figure out what to do.”
“I think [Cruz] is a very, you know, mean-spirited guy,” Clinton said, citing “some of the things he did, even in his primaries, to fellow candidates.”
Prior to the Iowa Caucuses, the Cruz campaign spread a false rumor that Ben Carson had dropped out of the race when, in fact, he did not. (RELATED: ‘This Is Horsesh*t’ — Carson Camp Accuses Cruz Of Foul Play In Iowa)
Clinton commented that what Cruz did isn’t “good for a presidential campaign. We can have differences. Look, I’m well-aware that it’s a contact sport, I understand that. But when it gets right down to it, you’ve got to offer Americans your credentials, because it’s a huge interviewing and hiring process and people have to decide, ‘What do I know about this person? Is this the person I want in the Oval Office? Is this the person I want to be both President and Commander-in-Chief?’ And that requires a level of dialog and debate that is civil, that does have a purpose to it other than just, you know, making a point.”
