Texas Sen. [crscore]Ted Cruz[/crscore] hit back at Bill de Blasio, saying the New York City mayor’s “socialist policies are tearing this city apart.”

Cruz, who took heat back in January for saying that Donald Trump exemplifies “New York values,” released a radio attack ad on Wednesday.

In the ad, a voiceover says de Blasio has “a lot of nerve” for saying Cruz is out of touch with New York City and New York state.

“He treats cops like criminals and criminals like freedom-fighters,” the ad says. “De Blasio made New York a sanctuary city, rolling out the red carpet for illegals.

The ad also hits de Blasio for halting the New York Police Department’s procedure of “stop and frisk — even where terrorists are known to congregate.”

“Now he’s meddling in the Republican primary campaigning against Cruz, because when Cruz is president, de Blasio is done,” the ad continues. “No more criminal coddling soft-on-terror policies. No more sanctuary cities. And Cruz will instruct the Justice Department to hold corrupt politicians accountable. Maybe that’s why de Blasio fears Ted Cruz.”

New York voters go to the polls April 19. Any candidate who wins 50 percent of the GOP primary vote statewide will pickup 14 delegates. Other delegates around the state are awarded by congressional district. The New York Republican Party will send 95 delegates to the Republican National Convention in Cleveland this summer.
