Hillary Clinton won the New York Democratic primary Tuesday night.
As predicted, Clinton easily defeated Bernie Sanders in her home state, winning a sizable percentage of New York’s 247 delegates.
Entering Tuesday’s contest, the former secretary of state led Sanders by 682 delegates — thanks to her 469 pledged superdelegates — and only needed 625 more to claim the Democratic nomination.
The next five Democratic primaries — Connecticut, Delaware, Maryland, Pennsylvania and Rhode Island — all take place on Tuesday, April 26.
