President Barack Obama delivered a joke Saturday night at The White House Correspondents’ Dinner that resembled one made by Stephen Colbert at the same event ten years ago.

“I also would like to acknowledge some of the award-winning reporters that we have with us here tonight. Rachel McAdams. Mark Ruffalo. Liev Schreiber. Thank you all for everything that you’ve done,” Obama said referencing to the actors of the movie “Spotlight,” who were present at the event.

“Thank you all for everything that you’ve done. I’m just joking. As you know, ‘Spotlight’ is a film, a movie about investigative journalists with the resources and the autonomy to chase down the truth and hold the powerful accountable. Best fantasy film since Star Wars,” The President continued.

Stephen Colbert made a quite similar joke during his speech at the 2006 White House Correspondents’ Dinner.

“Write that novel you got kicking around in your head,” Colbert told the press in the audience. “You know the one about the intrepid Washington reporter with the courage to stand up to the administration. You know, fiction,” the comedian said.
