Tua Tagovailoa — one of the top dual-threat quarterbacks in the 2017 graduating class — will be taking his talents to the University of Alabama for one simple reason: Nick Saban’s Christian faith.

According to Yellow Hammer News, the “quarterback of the future” feels at home with the Crimson Tide.

“Everybody on Sunday goes to church and that’s something big in my life as far as spirituality,” he said in a recent interview. “I couldn’t ask for anything better.”

“Coach Saban has talked to us and his beliefs are God first before anything,” Tagovailoa explains. “Every school is going to have good academics. Every school is going to have good football. But when you have a coach like Saban, who believes in God and is a defending champion, that makes it even more special.”
