Presumptive Republican presidential nominee Donald Trump shot back at House Speaker [crscore]Paul Ryan[/crscore] who expressed reluctantance to endorse the New York developer on Thursday.

“I am not ready to support Speaker Ryan’s agenda. Perhaps in the future we can work together and come to an agreement about what is best for the American people. They have been treated so badly for so long that it is about time for politicians to put them first!” Trump said in a statement.

Ryan was asked by CNN’s Jake Tapper Thursday if he would throw his support behind Trump and Ryan responded, “To be perfectly candid with you, Jake, I’m just not ready to do that at this point.”

He added, “I’m not there right now, and I hope to, though, and I want to. But I think what is required is that we unify this party. And I think the bulk of burden on unifying the party will have to come our presumptive nominee.”
