“Duck Dynasty” star Phil Robertson has weighed in on the controversial North Carolina “bathroom bill” and says he has a “radical idea” for dealing with the transgender bathroom issue.

In an email to conservatives, Robertson calls his idea “radical,” then suggests that men and women should use the bathroom that matches the gender they were born with, as opposed to the gender they identify with, according to the Hollywood Reporter.

“The Judeo-Christian values that led America to greatness are under full assault by the mob mentality of political correctness, and we’re slowly losing our soul,” he said. “Men should use the men’s bathroom and women should use the women’s bathroom.”

“Just because a man may ‘feel’ like a woman doesn’t mean he should be able to share a bathroom with my daughter, or yours,” Robertson added. “That used to be called common sense. Now it’s called bigoted.”

In the email Robertson says he’s teaming up with Citizens United and encourages supporters to “stand tall with Phil” and offers a link to a website for donations that will go to fund an effort called “Speak Freely from Citizens United”.

An effort, they report, will go to fight laws like the one recently passed in North Carolina that prevents transgender people from using bathrooms in government buildings that don’t match their biological sex.
