A new video from the New York Police Department gives an inside look at the daily grind of a police K9.

The NYPD strapped a camera to Zane, one of its transit police dogs, to get a dog’s eye view. The video follows Zane through his day as he patrols Grand Central Station, rides the Subway, and cheers up the kids around him.

The NYPD posted the video to Facebook and it drew an outpouring of praise and gratitude from people glad to have some good news from police.

“Ever wondered what a day in the life of a police K9 looks like?” the NYPD posted on Facebook. “So did we! We put a go-pro on our transit K9 Zane to see the world through his eyes (and tail). Here’s what keeping millions of riders on our New York Subways looks like, as captured by the ‪#‎ZaneCam‬.”
