Viewers were furious that Miss Hawaii was asked who she would vote for president during the question and answer segment of the Miss USA pageant Sunday night.
“If the election were held tomorrow, would you vote for Hillary Clinton or Donald Trump for president,” a judge asked Chelsea Hardin. “And why would you choose one over the other?”
The crowd booed loudly.
“All I have to say is: It doesn’t matter what gender, all we need in the United States is someone who represents those of us who don’t feel like we have a voice,” Hardin answered.
“Those of us who want our voices heard. We need a president to push for what is right and push for what America really needs.” (RELATED: People Are Furious Miss Texas Didn’t Make The Top 15 During Miss USA)
Hardin was the runner-up in the pageant.
