Beckham Zobrist is a seven-year-old badass.

Not only did the Chicago native recently beat retinal cancer, he opted to deck out his spiffy new prosthetic eye with the logo of his favorite sports team, the Chicago Cubs.

According to WGN, Beckham’s Retinoblastoma was first diagnosed when he was 3 years old.

“It was in March 2012 that we started to notice a glare in his pupil in certain lighting, and it just got progressively worse and that glare took over the pupil of his eye,” explained mother Erin. “It was pretty hard. It hit us very, very hard. It took our breath away. It changed our life.”

After hearing about Beckham’s story, the Cubs invited the entire Zobrist family to Wrigley Field for a game, where they spent time with Anthony Rizzo, Kyle Schwarber and bench coach Dave Martinez.

“He’s my idol, and I look up to him and other kids like him that’s gone through what he’s gone through and wish him all the best,” Martinez told WGN. “I told him he’s more than welcome to come back any time he wants.”

Nick, Beckham’s Dad, joked that the trip left his son speechless.

“He did say, because we went to Disney World two years ago for Make-A-Wish, he told me that Make-A-Wish was now number two and this is number one.”
