Christina Grimmie — a contestant on “The Voice” — was shot by 27-year-old Kevin James Loibl while signing autographs after a concert in Orlando Friday night. She later died from injuries she sustained during the shooting.
“She was doing a meet-and-greet, just signing autographs and selling merchandise. This white male approached her and opened fire, striking her,” Orlando Police Chief John Mina said at a news conference Saturday. “There is no indication that he knew her. We’re looking into that to try to find a motive for the crime.”
