Sophia Bush called Donald Trump a “lunatic” and a “megalomaniac” while speaking at a women’s summit in D.C.

On Tuesday, the 33-year-old actress told The Huffington Post at the United State of Women summit that when it comes to the 2016 election Trump’s divisive comments during the campaign is why she’s excited to support Hillary Clinton. “When we have a lunatic and a demagogue and a megalomaniac running for office who’s saying things that are inflammatory and dangerous to our national security, I’m doubly excited at her [Clinton’s] experience, because she would never do that,” she said.

In the same interview, the reporter asked the “Chicago P.D.” star about her choice to support Barack Obama over Clinton in 2008 and what has changed since then.

“I think that anybody who’s been in the political sphere as long as she has will have changed,” she added. “Everybody has. I like seeing people who, through their experience and their human connection, get more and more positively invested in their communities.”

“At the end of the day, she’s fighting for women, she’s fighting for LGBT rights, she is talking about the ways we can bring everybody to the table,” she continued. “And that’s important.”
