A California man was arrested on July 1 for trying to kidnap a young girl, and footage of the harrowing incident surfaced on Wednesday.
According to KHOU.com, 24-year-old Terry Ransom snatched a young girl out of her mother’s grasp at a cellphone store in Victorville.

In the video, Ransom can be seen dragging his victim out the door and is quickly chased by the young girl’s mother and another customer.
“She had said that the guy was looking at her from when she got out of her car, but she didn’t think he would follow her,” inside, store owner Miguel Macias told KHOU.
Several bystanders noted that Ransom’s exhibited strange behavior upon leaving the store.

“I saw him sit down in the middle of the street and laugh,” Macia’s wife Stella Moriel added. “And then he got up and started running again.”
Eventually, a few good samaritans ran down Ransom and held him until the police arrived.
He is currently being held on $250,000 bail and is scheduled to appear in court on Wednesday.
