Democratic presidential nominee Hillary Clinton conceded the authenticity of several private speech transcripts that were leaked Friday and reveal her saying various unsavory things.

During Sunday’s debate, Clinton was asked about a statement she made to the National Multifamily Housing Council in which she emphasized the need to have separate “public” and “private” positions on each political issue.

Rather than dispute the quote, or claim it was taken out of context, Clinton accepted she made the remarks and claimed they were no big deal.

“As I recall, that was something I said about Abraham Lincoln after having seen [Lincoln,] the wonderful Steven Spielberg movie,” Clinton said. “It was a master class watching President Lincoln get the Congress to approve the 13th Amendment … That was a great, I thought a great display of presidential leadership.”

After that brief explanation, though, Clinton deflected and said the text of the leaked transcripts was irrelevant due to their alleged source, Russian hackers.

“We have never in the history of our country been in a situation where an adversary of foreign power is working so hard to influence the out come of the elections and they are not doing it to get me elected,” Clinton said. “They are doing it to influence the election for Donald Trump.”

Clinton’s confirmation of the transcripts’ authenticity is a shift from the immediate aftermath of the transcripts’ release, when Clinton’s campaign refused to comment, saying it wouldn’t respond to revelations made based on stolen documents.
