Tennessee police have been hunting for a dangerous prisoner who escaped Christmas Day through a leaky toilet.

David Frazier, the prisoner, escaped with five other inmates at the Newport county jail around 1:30 a.m. Christmas morning, reports the New York Daily News.

Within 48 hours, five of the inmates were recaptured. Frazier, who is said to be dangerous, has yet to be found. He was behind bars for aggravated robbery and having a weapon as a convicted felon.

The prisoners escaped due to a water leak that happened behind a toilet in the jail.

“The bolts holding the unit rusted out and there was prior damage to the concrete due to plumbing repairs,” police said. The inmates fled by removing the toilet and passing through the hole left in the wall.

Police eventually caught Steven Lewis after a foot chase and police also found inmate John Mark Spier at a house not too far from the jail. They charged two two people for harboring him.

Officers found Harce Wade Allen and Erik S. Click close by the jail. The fifth inmate, John Thomas Shehee, turned himself in to the police after escaping.

Sheriff Armando Fontes said they’ve had numerous issues before with water leaks in the jail.

“We’ve had numerous issues with this facility concerning water breaks, sewage breaks. It’s a never ending task to keep this facility and this place operational,” Fontes said.

Fontes also mentioned that fixing the damage would be costly.

“It’s going to be difficult to fix this type of damage. Especially with the fact that the concrete itself is going to be an expensive fix,” he added.
