A group of Americans came together and sent Congress a message: Support President-elect Donald Trump and help unify the American people.
After years as a talent agent in Los Angeles, Delora O’Brien is no stranger to being singled out for her Republican views, especially after Trump secured the presidency. As actors in Hollywood speak out against Trump and decry the Republican platform, O’Brien thought it was the perfect time for the average American to have their voice heard.
She quickly galvanized support from some Republicans and Democrats who wanted to directly speak to Congress, and produced a video featuring their faces and voices.
“What really got me interested in producing it was the celebrity video, ‘Dear Members of Congress,'” O’Brien told The Daily Caller News Foundation.
A fervent supporter of the First Amendment, O’Brien says she would “give her life,” if it would protect free speech and debate for every citizen of this nation. O’Brien’s chief problem with the left, which was recently on display in Meryl Streep’s Golden Globe speech, “they are always tolerant, unless you disagree with them.”
“I’m a Hollywood talent manager, and, to me, enough is enough,” she tells TheDCNF.
She even tried to invite a few sympathetic celebrities to speak in the video, but they rejected for fear they “might be blacklisted,” in the industry for speaking out against the liberal, mainstream narrative. She says these celebrities think they have the power, since they have such a large platform to engage millions of people, to “make you think a certain way.” O’Brien even says it is “nothing short of Nazi Germany.”
“I felt like people needed a voice. The poor common man doesn’t have a voice. He doesn’t have a recognizable name. He won’t be on the Golden Globes. People in New York City and Los Angeles forget about the people in the heart of America,” O’Brien told TheDCNF.
