I live my life by a simple rule: You can never have too many knives. This applies to knives of all shapes and functions. Pocket knives, EDCs and, yes, even kitchen knives. One of the best features of blocks like these is the self-sharpening technology. In other words, you are sharpening your knife simply by putting it back in its appropriate slot after you are finished using it.
The set features an 8-inch chef’s knife, an 8-inch bread knife, a 7-inch Santoku knife, a 6-inch utility knife, a 4.5-inch parer, 8 steak knives and kitchen shears. Plus, of course, the maple knife block. There is an additional non-sharpening slot as well. I don’t know about you, but I get excited when I see knives forged with German steel, and that’s just what we have here. What could be better?
