Two top fundraisers for the Democratic Party created their own events company, mKs Strategies and Events, according to a Friday report in Politico’s Playbook.
Krista Zuzenak and Missy Kurek left the leadership of the Democratic Congressional Campaign Committee to start the event-planning firm last month. The two were responsible for planning more than 1,000 fundraising events for Democrats nationwide, and raised over $500 million.
The company plans to offer services to both political and private clients, and promises to plan receptions, product launches, weddings, conferences, as well as lend fundraising strategy and implementation for non-profit as well as political clients.
They also will provide political and donation guidance for wealthy donors looking to make a difference with their money.
