O.J. Could Get Out Of Jail Soon

Font Size:

I recently watched a crazy show on Netflix called The People vs. O.J. Simpson. It was one of those “alternate history” stories, the premise being that O.J.’s wife and one of her friends were murdered about 20 years ago and O.J. stood trial for it. It’s a good show, but it definitely strained credulity. If something like that had ever happened, certainly we would’ve seen it on the news, right?

Which isn’t to say that O.J. has kept his nose clean all these years. He’s currently serving a 33-year sentence for armed robbery and kidnapping and some other horseplay. But here’s some good news, O.J. fans! Fox News Insider:

A parole board is expected to recommend the release of O.J. Simpson from prison based on good behavior, according to a report in the Sunday Express.

The hearing is scheduled to begin the week of July 3, and experts believe the board will vote to release the disgraced former NFL star on Oct. 3 — the earliest possible date for his parole.

That means he’ll get out of jail about 24 years early. Let’s hope that when he’s released, he starts looking for the real criminals: whoever cast Cuba Gooding Jr. to play him on that show. (I like Cuba, but he was all wrong for that role, man.)

And he can pick up his Hollywood career right where he left off. I can’t wait to see Naked Gun 4: Nordberg Cuts Loose!
