President Donald Trump has already chosen the site for his first re-election fundraiser not even a year into his presidency — the Trump International Hotel in Washington, D.C.

Michael Glassner, the chief strategist for Trump’s 2020 re-election campaign, confirmed the location with The Associated Press Wednesday, calling the choice of venue “premier and convenient.” The fundraiser will take place June 28 and host the president’s biggest campaign donors.

Trump officially started his re-election campaign on the day of his inauguration, filing the Federal Election Commission paperwork earlier then any president in history. His re-election campaign had raised over $7 million by March. The donations were mainly from small donors and merchandise sales, such as the well-known “Make America Great Again” hats.

The Trump Organization performed a $200 million renovation on the old Post Office building that opened October 2016, weeks before election day.

The business signed a 60 year lease for the government building and agreed to pay the federal government $3 million per year in rent beginning on the official opening of the hotel in October. Trump’s sons Donald J. Trump Jr. and Eric Trump took over the organization in January in order to disentangle the president from his financial empire.
