Attorney General Jeff Sessions said Monday that the fatal vehicle incident Saturday in Charlottesville, Va. can be classified as an act of domestic terrorism.

“It does meet the definition of domestic terrorism in our statute,” Sessions said on ABC’s “Good Morning America.”

A vehicle plowed into a crowd of protesters Saturday, killing one woman and injuring at least 19.

Authorities arreseted 20-year old James Fields Jr. shortly after the incident, and he is being held at the Albemarle-Charlottesville County Regional Jail.
