Gigi Hadid is facing a lawsuit for sharing a photo of herself on Instagram, and it’s not because she broke the nudity policy.
Professional photographer Peter Cepeda is suing the 22-year-old supermodel for allegedly stealing a photo he took of her and posting it on her social media account without his permission, Page Six reports.
The photo shows Hadid with hair curlers in her hair and her back turned to the camera wearing a customized white and black jacket with the adidas logo and “hadidas” written across the back. “Work flow,” Hadid captioned the photo, which she posted in July 2016.
The photo was licensed to several news outlets, but not to Hadid, who was the obvious subject of the photo.
In a lawsuit filed in Virginia, Cepeda claims that he owns the copyright to the photo in question. Cepeda is seeking damages from the Victoria’s Secret model, who he claims “deprived him of credit,” Page Six reports.
Luckily the lawsuit isn’t keeping Hadid from being active on Instagram.
