The Democratic party has been slammed at the ballot box for a lack of message, MSNBC’s Joe Scarborough said on “Morning Joe” Monday, saying they still don’t have a plan for how to govern.

“The Democratic party still, after losing a 1,000 state legislative seats over the past eight years — After losing a dozen or so senate seats, a dozen or so governorships. Being at the lowest point since 1920 with governorships. I could go on and on. Losing 62, 64 house seats. I think at the lowest state that they’ve been in since 1928. They still don’t have a governing philosophy,” Scarborough said. “They still don’t have ideas that people can grab hold to.”

He added it was irresponsible of former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton to waste her policy experience reliving the past instead of focusing on how the party can win in in the future.

“Hillary Clinton. Her strength, her talent, the thing that everybody that’s worked with her in the Senate said she did better than anybody else was policy. What a missed opportunity this is to be replaying a campaign in the past instead of helping Democrats win in the future,” he said.

This isn’t the first time Scarborough has ripped the Democratic party. Last month, he said they were “wandering around in the wilderness” and probably wouldn’t be able to retake the Senate in 2018.
