Tom Cruise’s latest film “American Made” is finally in theaters, and it looks like it’s the first must-watch movie of the fall.

Cruise plays legendary drug runner Barry Seal during the most powerful time of Colombian cartels trafficking cocaine into the United States. I won’t give away what happened to Seal in real life out of respect for those who might not be aware of how this legendary true story went down.

I have read the reviews, and they have been overwhelmingly positive. In fact, it’s currently sitting at 86 percent on Rotten Tomatoes, which is the exact score of the critically acclaimed summer film “Wind River.”

Tom Cruise as a drug running CIA informant sounds like movie gold, and hopefully the story stays pretty truthful to what actually happened. Judging from the reviews, I’m guessing that it does.

I plan on seeing this at the first opportunity I get, so stay tuned for my thoughts. I have no doubt it’ll be awesome.
