Lena Dunham had one of the worst takes about the Las Vegas shooting. Namely, that the deadliest mass shooting in modern U.S. history is impossible NOT to politicize, since — according to her — it is inherently about gender and race.
Dunham declined to elaborate on what the shooting had to do with either of those components, so the cohosts of Double Take had to make some guesses.
“It’s so typical of a leftist to throw out a buzzword like that and not have any substantial argument,” cohost Julia Nista said.
“I guess she’s saying that white men are full of all of this toxic masculinity?” cohost Amber Athey added. “How convenient that all of a sudden men and women have differences when liberals are constantly talking about how people of different genders are the same.”
