News broke this week that Michael Bay was producing a live-action “Dora the Explorer” film and the internet had a field day.
The 52-year-old director and producer of such high-action movies as “Transformers” is set to produce a movie based off the popular bilingual children’s cartoon on Nickelodeon. The movie is due out in 2019. (RELATED: If Michael Bay Directed Pixar’s ‘Up,’ It’d Be Filled With Explosions, Obviously [VIDEO])

The upcoming film will reportedly feature a much older Dora character who moves to the city with her cousin Diego.
Very little other information about the movie has been released, so there’s no word yet if the other characters from the popular children’s program like her monkey or “Swiper” will be included.
But regardless, Twitter had a some fun combining the cartoon with the explosions and special effects from Bay’s action movies.
