It’s Friday, October 27, 2017 and this is “Today In Media,” where we highlight the most inane takes from media personalities.

We’re counting down the five most ridiculous takes from the media and CNN hits two spots on the list with their legal analyst Jeffrey Toobin and contributor Brian Fallon.

In the first time ever in Today In Media’s history, the same person took the number one spot on the list for two episodes in a row.

Fallon, who was the spokesman for Hillary Clinton’s presidential campaign, baselessly smeared Virginia Republican gubernatorial candidate Ed Gillespie as a white supremacist. Fallon tweeted a photo of the torch-wielding neo-Nazis and white nationalists in Charlottesville, Va. and asserted that it was the equivalent of a Gillespie campaign meeting.

Of course, what Fallon fails to mention is that Gillespie offered one of the strongest condemnations of the organizing groups of the march in Charlottesville among Democrats and Republicans.

Cohosts Saagar Enjeti and Amber Athey argue that CNN should distance themselves from Fallon’s comments and the Hillary flack himself should apologize.
