Then, media reporter Amber Athey explains why Sen. Al Franken face-planted with his so-called “resignation speech” on Friday where he didn’t actually resign. Franken also avoided taking any responsibility for the sexual misconduct that caused his resignation and didn’t give an apology to the women he supposedly harassed. Instead, Franken passed the buck to President Donald Trump and Alabama Senate candidate Roy Moore.
Franken’s non-apology angered at least three of his accusers, who called it “disappointing” and “appalling” in interviews that followed his Senate floor speech.
Only time will tell if Franken actually resigns.
