Our friends over at SMOK sent us their newest device, the “Mag”, the review for our readers here at the Daily Vaper.

The Mag is shaped like a Beretta gun handle with a trigger to fire the device approximately where a trigger on a gun would be located. SMOK’s website says when you use the flower shaped button to release the battery compartment, load it and close it, that “you can even hear the pleasant sound that a real gun can offer you.”

SMOK is the worlds’ leading manufacturer of vaping devices and this one appears to be a little firecracker with a 225-watt power capacity, and measurements at 92 millimeters by 65 millimeters. As is becoming more common in vaping devices on the pricier side, there is a color OLED display which has atomizer recognition, short circuit protection, puff monitor and an overhear and shut off protection.

The Mag boasts of a new tank, the TFV12 Prince, with patented locking technology so the tank does not slide open and leak. Functionally, it is the same as the previous “Baby” and “Big Baby” tanks with a slighter alteration of the shape of the glass and coloring. The capacity is 8 ml as opposed to the EU version which only holds 2 ml.

With the variable wattage adjustment, you can vape salt nicotine for instance at a low temperature and crank up the wattage if you would like to switch to another e-liquid that would produce a huge plume of vapor. The device can go up to 600 degrees and has a power output of up to 9 volts.

In the box are the Mag mod, a USB charging cable, the Prince tank, 1 preinstalled coil and 1 extra, an extra glass sphere, an instruction manual and extra assorted spare parts such as O-Rings. There are nine colors to choose from and this device goes for around $60.
