Florida GOP Sen. Marco Rubio seemed to reference former Alabama Republican Senate candidate Roy Moore’s stunning loss by tweeting out an Old Testament Bible verse on the “perverse of heart.”

Rubio tweeted out Proverbs 12:8 the morning after Democratic candidate Doug Jones was elected to the Senate.

“For their good sense people are praised, but the perverse of heart are despised. Proverbs 12:8,” Rubio tweeted, in keeping with his habit of tweeting out Bible verses.

Jones won Attorney General Jeff Sessions’ former seat with 49.92 percent of the vote. Moore has refused to concede the election and has called for a recount of the votes.

“That’s what we’ve got to do is wait on God and let this process play out. I know it’s late. We can’t wait and have everybody wait until after 11:00. But the votes are still coming in, and we’re looking at that. May God bless you as you go on, give you safe journey and thank you for coming tonight,” Moore told supporters Tuesday night.
