Today marks the 114th anniversary that the Wright brothers flew the first engine powered plane in a field near Kitty Hawk, North Carolina. It is absolutely unbelievable how far planes have come since that day.
The Wright Brothers completely changed the way we travel and changed the way we fight in the military, all with their invention of the engined powered airplane so many years ago.
Today, 114 years ago, the Wright Brothers propelled humanity into the future.

We have put together a slideshow to show off the legacy of the Wright brothers that we see everyday in the sky. This includes the U.S. Navy Blue Angels, U.S. Air Force Thunderbirds, and the B-2 Stealth Bomber.
Check out these amazing jets that the Wright brothers probably never imagined would one day exist after that day in 1903.
