Netflix’s hit show “The Ranch” was as strong as ever in part four, but we’re now left in unchartered territory for the show’s future.

Part four, which is technically the second half of season two, was awesome. We got exactly what fans expect out of Ashton Kutcher, Sam Elliott, Danny Masterson and Elisha Cuthbert. There were plenty of funny moments, heartbreaking downfalls and great family moments as the Bennett’s do their best to navigate the world and their ranch. It followed the same outline that has made the show so great.

It was so great that I literally crushed out every episode during two different viewing sessions over the weekend. I couldn’t turn it off.

There’s just one major problem going forward, and it’s the fact Masterson has been booted off of the show after allegations of sexual misconduct. That’s a pretty big issue for Netflix to figure out, given the fact he’s one of the three main characters on the show.

Masterson not being with the show anymore makes me think we’re in more of a “if the show goes on” and now a “where will the show go” type of situation.

You can’t exactly cut out one third of the show’s main cast, and not expect a major drop off. It’s just not realistic.

So, I guess we’re just going to have to sit here in limbo until somebody at Netflix decides to make a decision on the show’s future. Hopefully, it doesn’t get canceled, but I’m not holding my breath for a positive outcome.
