Green Bay Packers quarterback Aaron Rodgers is headed to the injured reserved for the rest of the season, according to multiple reports.
The somber news for the superstar quarterback broke Tuesday afternoon.

As I’ve often said before, you never want to see anybody get hurt. It’s part of the game, but it still sucks.
However, you’d have to be a liar to say you’d rather play the Packers with Rodgers than without him. They’re a totally different team when he’s off of the field, which makes since because he’s one of the best players in the league.
This move has the biggest impact for the Detroit Lions. They face the Packers the last week of the season, and a spot in the playoffs is on the line. Playing with Brett Hundley under center instead of Rodgers has to give the Lions some serious confidence.
