The 2018 Rose Bowl was the fifth most watched cable broadcast of all time, according to a tweet from ESPN’s Darren Rovell.
Nearly 27 million people tuned in to watch Georgia defeat Oklahoma in double overtime in a game that will surely go down as one of the greatest ever played.

Literally nobody should be surprised by this. The Rose Bowl this year was incredible. Literally everything about it was awesome.
We got to see Baker Mayfield’s final college game happen in a legendary stadium, in front of a massive crowd, as millions from this great nation watched on their televisions.
Now we’ll all just have to wait and see how many people tune in to watch two SEC teams battle for a national championship. My early guess is that it won’t be as many as who watched the Rose Bowl.
