President Donald Trump denied that he called certain countries shitholes during a Thursday DACA meeting in a Friday tweet.
The language used by me at the DACA meeting was tough, but this was not the language used. What was really tough was the outlandish proposal made – a big setback for DACA!

Trump’s denial follows a Thursday report from The Washington Post that he said of immigrants from El Salvador, Haiti, and African countries “why are we having all these people from shithole countries come here?” He then allegedly suggested more immigrants from countries like Norway should come to the U.S.
Trump’s tweet also takes aim at a bipartisan Senate agreement on a permanent solution to DACA. The proposed bill would offer protections to DACA recipients, provide their parents temporary protected status, and would provide little of the funding for a border wall the president has requested in the past.
