CNN anchor Chris Cuomo is sorry for referring to an Indian-American Trump aide as “Raj whatever-his-name-is.”
Cuomo accused President Donald Trump of racism on Monday for referring to Haiti and African countries as “shitholes,” but his point got lost when he flippantly forgot the last name of Indian-American White House aide Raj Shah.
“Remember… we went to the White House when it happened, Raj whatever-his-name-is didn’t back off the words,” Cuomo said on CNN’s “New Day.”
Shah tweeted out The Daily Caller’s article pointing out Cuomo’s flippant error, writing, “Chris Cuomo and CNN viewers, it’s Raj Shah.” (RELATED: Chris Cuomo Calls Indian-American Trump Aide ‘Raj Whatever-His-Name-Is’)
Cuomo later apologized, tweeting, “Sorry for the misake, Raj. Won’t happen again.”
“Please know that you are welcome to come on the show anytime,” Cuomo added.
