As American voices reach a fever pitch over sexual abuse allegations against powerful men and more women adopt the #MeToo rallying cry every day, there’s still a trend of fatal abuse that has received nary a peep of condemnation from Hollywood elite. Shrouded in silence, abusive men across the country — and the world — drug unsuspecting pregnant partners with the intention of aborting the preborn children for whom they do not want to take responsibility. With how little attention these crimes receive from the media, one may think these abusers are few and far between. They are not.
#HerToo?
In the most recently-reported case, a woman named Brooke Fiske was drugged by Sikander Imran, her boyfriend of three years, when Imran impregnated Fiske and Fiske refused the abortion procedure Imran pressured her to undergo. “When I was drinking my tea in the evening I got to the bottom of the cup,” Fiske told a local news outlet. “There was a gritty substance in there and when I looked at it, I could tell that it was a pill that had been ground up.” Within hours, Fiske went into labor and lost the child killed by Imran, who gave Fiske four times the normal drug dosage used to induce an abortion.
Then there was the man who fed his unsuspecting girlfriend abortion drug-laced pancakes. And the man who tricked his girlfriend into drinking a smoothie laced with abortion drugs. And the man who gave his pregnant girlfriend abortion pills but told her they were antibiotics. These stories of abuse should make national headlines, especially with the media’s spotlight on sexual abuse. But they virtually never leave the confines of small local outlets before fading into obscurity.
The abuser’s dream drug
The abortion drug is an abuser’s dream drug, allowing men to use women for sexual gratification and then callously end the life of the children they father — a wanted child, according to grieving mothers. There are likely countless cases of abortion drug abuse by sexual predators that have gone unreported by media, and given the nature of abusive relationships and statutory rape scenarios, it’s possible that victims do not always know when they have been drugged (they may think they are suffering a miscarriage).
Women in abusive relationships who have been the victims of abortion pill drugging may also fear the repercussions of reporting their partners’ actions. And adding insult to injury for these victims, the mainstream media sympathize with the abusers. Here, a U.K. advice columnist flippantly tells a woman reeling from being forced by her boyfriend to take abortion pills that, “Sadly, you and he simply weren’t on the same page.”
Meanwhile, in California
The abortion industry’s stranglehold on the California legislature is nowhere more evident than in an idiotic and dangerous senate bill proposed by Connie Leyva (D-Chino) to make free abortion on-demand available to students at public colleges and universities in the state. The legislation would include the provision of abortion drugs by campus health centers – ostensibly to prevent the “burden” of pregnant students traveling to an abortion facility. In reality, the legislation would only remove the burden of manning-up from the men who fathered students’ children and from the community (i.e., the college) who should be called upon to help pregnant and parenting students so that they are not coerced into abortion by the realization that their state, school, and partner would all prefer her child dead. Furthermore, the bill would increase the availability of abortion drugs to the very abusers who obtain them to commit surreptitious abortions on unsuspecting, unwilling partners.
Let me be clear: This bill represents the ultimate betrayal of young women and an unconscionable new low in a state’s attitude toward preborn human beings and an unfortunate trend in the making. California cannot expect the rest of the nation to take its pathetic crusade against sexual abuse seriously as long as it remains in bed with the abuser-enabling abortion industry. Women will continue to be victimized by and forced unwittingly into unwanted abortions if we do not stand together against the misogyny of the abortion industry and its accomplices and in opposition to the recklass distribution of life-ending drugs now being contemplated.
An honest pro-choice mentality would allow that women will often choose life for their preborn child. We must not make it easy for abusers to trample a mother’s choice to embrace and raise a loved child.
