WCVB news in Boston tweeted out a photo of Aaron Hernandez following the Patriots victory over the Jaguars.
The tweet has since been deleted, but not before plenty of people screenshot it.

Bold move to cite a photo of…
1. The wrong game.
2. Aaron Hernandez. pic.twitter.com/NnYUMXiAIv— Corey Crisan (@cdcrisan) January 21, 2018
@WCVB This is what happens when someone who knows nothing about sports sends out a sports tweet. #AaronHernandez played yesterday? Seriously? @Patriots pic.twitter.com/vh6cJnRLUp

How does this happen? Hernandez is one of the most disgraced athletes in the history of American sports after he was imprisoned for murdering somebody.
Not only is using a photo of him insanely stupid, but that’s not even from the right game. Was Getty Images down when they went to write this story? You could have literally picked a photo of any other player to ever play on the Patriots and it’d be less embarrassing than this screw up.
Something tells me that there’s an editor over at WCVB that got an earful after this tweet was sent out. It’s just novice stupidity and incompetence.
