Netflix recently released the trailer for its upcoming show “Seven Seconds,” and it doesn’t look like there will be lots of smiles in this series.

The plot of the show, according to IMDB, is, “Tensions run high between African American citizens and Caucasian cops in Jersey City when a teenage African American boy is critically injured by a cop.”

I’m a big Netflix fanboy. They have produced so much great original content, and it looks like “Seven Seconds” might be there next major hit.

However, I don’t think we’re in for the humor of “Vandals,” judging from the trailer.

It depicts a dark world where tension and hostilities are out of control.

I also have a very solid suspicion that there are plenty of people who will accuse this show of race-baiting. There’s no reason to believe that until we see the actual product when it’s released February 23.

Hopefully “Seven Seconds” sticks to entertainment and doesn’t get bogged down with unnecessary social justice messages.
