Today is January 31, and it’s the deadline for Johnny Manziel to sign with the Hamilton Tiger-Cats.

Manziel’s agent previously released a statement that they would give the Ti-Cats until January 31 to negotiate a “fair” deal, or that Manziel would pursue “other professional options.”

Well, today is that day, and we’re all waiting to see what happens.

“I was a cold dude I’m getting back to my ways…”

This is like a nuclear showdown. I’ve never felt more suspense in the sports world since the Badgers played Duke in the national championship game. We ended up losing, and it was a widely disappointing night.

Hopefully, that’s not what we’re in for today. We need this #ComebackSZN to happen, and the CFL desperately needs Manziel to grow a market in America.

The only question is when we get word on what the decision will be from Manziel and the Tiger-Cats. If it’s going to happen today, expect it to happen around noon. That way it’ll dominate the news cycle for the afternoon and night.

Johnny Football is all about doing big things. He’ll want to make a splash with this announcement. So, stay tuned and keep checking throughout the day for updates. This is the closest we’ve got to #ComebackSZN in the past two years. Manziel is finally almost back.
