Edmonton Oilers star Connor McDavid looked like he wasn’t even human Monday night against the Tampa Bay Lightning.

The Canadian-born superstar had four goals, and they have to be seen to be believed. There are no words to describe some of the things he did last night.

How was that goal with no angle even possible? What was he aiming at? How did that even happen? Most NHL players wouldn’t make that goal if they had 100 different tries. McDavid hit that goal like it was a casual stroll in the park.

Hockey fans are blessed watching McDavid. The young man is on a different planet right now. I don’t want to get crazy with my comparisons, but there’s a special era underway in the NHL right now with him. He’s only 21 years old, and is doing things we haven’t, dare I say it, seen since Gretzky.

Now, please don’t get confused. I’m not saying Connor McDavid is the next Wayne Gretzky. All I’m saying is we’re witnessing something super rare right now, and that’s really fun for the fans.
