“Call of Duty: WWII” was reportedly the most sold video game in the U.S. in 2017.
ESPN’s Darren Rovell tweeted out a list of the top 10 most sold games, and the latest installment of COD was right up there at the top.

This really shouldn’t be surprising news to anybody. Fans have waited years for the chance to play another great WWII shooter.
Battle in the streets of German-occupied Paris in Occupation, @SledgehammerGames’ WWII-era re-imagining of a Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 classic. Long side streets provide for mid-ranged combat, with plenty of ambush opportunities in nearby storefronts. Bring a rifle. #callofduty #COD #WWII #CODWWII #WW2 #CODWW2
We were all raised on the older “Call of Duty” and “Medal of Honor” games, which focused mostly on WWII. There’s something about killing Nazis in a video game that is just so nostalgic.
There were countless hours spent growing up just blowing away the bad guys. It was only a matter of time before somebody came around and released another great WWII game.
I knew that these would fly off the shelves when it was released. It’s not just that it was the most sold game, but it was actually awesome. I’m not a huge gamer by any stretch of the imagination, but I know a good one when I see it. “Call of Duty: WWII” was outstanding. Nice to see things work out when a company releases a great product.
