Duke superstar Grayson Allen pulled off a shot against Virginia Tech Wednesday night that will have you hitting rewind to watch again.

Allen had the ball on the wing past the three point line with only two seconds on the shot clock.

He was blanketed by the Hokies defenses, but it didn’t matter. The national champion shooting guard cocked back and let it fly from an incredibly awkward position.

How was that even possible? There’s no explanation for how Allen should have even gotten that ball out of his hands from that angle. How did the defender not smack it down?

I’ve seen lots of crazy shots during my days as a basketball player and fan of the game. That’s right up there with the strangest of them. You also have to give props to Allen for having the balls to just fire away instead of taking a timeout, which is what most people would probably have done.

Allen isn’t most players. He might be hated by much of the college world. Hell, he stole a ring off of my finger in 2015, and I’m no fan. However, you can’t deny that shot was incredible.
