‘The View” cohost Meghan McCain challenged her cohosts when they claimed that Republicans are scared to talk about guns after the Parkland school shooting.

“[The students] are looking to the grown ups for guidance and assistance and the Republicans are the controlling party right now,” Sunny Hostin argued. “And I wish that I heard more from Paul Ryan, from leadership other than Trump cause I wanna know — these are fathers, these are mothers, what are they thinking?”

Sen. Marco Rubio showed up at CNN’s town hall on the shooting last week, facing an entire crowd of strict gun control advocates, but Joy Behar even used that fact against the Republicans.

“The fact that Marco Rubio showed up made the point even clearer and more glaring that the rest of them did not,” Behar claimed.

Meghan McCain looked dumbfounded by the claim that Republicans weren’t addressing the gun control debate, and chimed in to ask the ladies if they were living in a separate reality.

“I don’t think anyone’s scared to talk about it, I mean, I assume we live in different — watch different networks and see things through different lenses but I think Republicans are open to talking about it,” McCain slammed. “Obviously this is a giant issue going on in the country…and there’s no running and hiding from this.”

Behar still argued that party leaders Rep. Paul Ryan and Sen. Mitch McConnell were not speaking out enough, and McCain shot back, “I’m a little confused about what…I mean, do you want them to go to the town hall also or what?”
