Stormy Daniels’ attorney Michael Avenatti told the Morning Joe crew on Friday that President Trump’s former alleged mistress has received “physical threats,” but he would not elaborate on that claim or how it relates to the president.

WATCH:

Mika Brzezinski asked, “Was she threatened in any way?”

“Yes,” Avenatti answered.

“Was she threatened physical harm?”

“Yes,” Avenatti said.

Joe Scarborough also asked, “What can you tell us about the threats? The physical threats.”

“I can’t tell you anything beyond what I’ve already said,” he responded.

Scarborough pressed onward: “Can you tell us whether it came from the president directly, the physical threats?”

“I won’t answer that,” Avenatti said.

“Will you deny the president of the United States threatened your client?” Scarborough asked.

“I will not confirm or deny,” Avenatti answered.

Daniels is rumored to have had an affair with Donald Trump in the mid-2000s. There is no proof to any of these claims so far. She sued the president last week to get out of a nondisclosure agreement (NDA).
