Are the Kansas City Chiefs a possible landing spot for Johnny Manziel?

This is a theory that seems to be floating around, and it’s not the craziest idea. Fansided’s site Arrowhead Addict, wrote the following:

The bottom line is that since Manziel entered the NFL, the Chiefs have been one of the supposed teams with at least some level of interest in him. Now that he’s a free agent aiming to truly turn the corner and give the NFL one final try, the Chiefs were one of 13 teams to see him throw. They also happen to  need a third quarterback.

You can choose to read the tea leaves any way that you want. It’s easy to connect some dots and think that anything is possible.

I could get behind the idea of Manziel throwing on a Chiefs uniform. Kansas City currently has Patrick Mahomes under center, who is inexperienced and unproven.

It also helps that Andy Reid is running the show in KC. The guy is one of the brightest minds in all of football and can probably see that Manziel is headed in the right direction. You can get Johnny Football on a really cheap deal, let him set for awhile, see if he can develop into a solid backup or starter and then make a decision on the future.

If the Chiefs don’t take the bait, I’m sure somebody else will. It’s #ComebackSZN, and I think we’ll be seeing Manziel back on a football field soon enough.
