Sarah Sanders shot down a question at Tuesday’s White House press briefing about Former Supreme Court Justice John Paul Stephens’ call to repeal the Second Amendment.

Stephens made the comments in a highly controversial op-ed with the New York Times Tuesday morning.

A reporter asked Sanders if Trump had seen the argument for the repeal.

Does the White House feel there’s any chance that that kind of movement could take hold in Washington?” he posed to the press secretary.

Sanders’ response left zero wiggle room in its interpretation.

“The president and administration still fully support the Second Amendment.”

“We think the focus has to remain removing weapons from dangerous people and not blocking all people from their constitutional rights,” she continued.
