Pro-Trump pastor Darrell Scott defended evangelical support for Donald Trump on CNN Wednesday amid the ongoing Stormy Daniels scandal.

“I support the president that he is now–evangelicals support the president that he is now more so the businessman that he was 12 years ago and I really believe his presidential merits outweigh his past personal demerits. So–I don’t find it difficult. He’s not the same person he was 12 years ago,” Scott said. (RELATED: HUH? “I’m not the same person I was 12 years ago. You’re not the same person you were 12 years ago.” (RELATED: CNN’s Brooke Baldwin Makes Joke About Having Bigger ‘Balls’ Than Don Lemon [VIDEO])

“And so–to drag up a porn star who says she had a one-night stand with a billionaire 12 years ago and try to give her a voice of morality in America, that’s what I find to be preposterous.”
