We’re only a few days away from ABC’s “The Crossing” coming to television, and hopefully it lives up to expectations.

The show is being released April 2 for the people of America. I have extremely high hopes that the same network behind “LOST” won’t disappoint here.

The plot of the show, according to IMDB, is, “Refugees from a war-torn country 180 years in the future start showing up in the present to seek asylum in an American town.”

In my humble opinion, television is desperate for another show with a similar style as “LOST.”

“LOST” was a hit with people, and for all the right reasons. It was a water cooler show, but unlike one we’d seen before. The audience was left dangling routinely, and constantly questioning what was going on. It led to great fan engagement, theories and conversations.

Hopefully, “The Crossing” will be the exact same way. I’m excited to see how the Steve Zahn-led show does. Extremely curious to see if it will replicate the success of “LOST.”

The show just needs to keep things simple. Don’t throw a billion and a half theories at the audience. Give us a solid plot, make us ask questions and keep it between the lines. It’ll all be gravy if ABC sticks to that formula. Can’t wait to check it out Monday.
