University of South Carolina Gamecocks coach Mark Kingston showed what a pro he was when he took a hit with a baseball live on air and kept right on going with the interview.

In the video posted by ESPN on Instagram Tuesday night, Kingston was being interviewed on the SEC Network from Charlotte, NC, during the Gamecocks game against the Tar Heels when he was struck by a stray ball at BB&T Ballpark.

“What a beautiful ball park, great city, great crowd tonite. So this is what it’s all about,” Kingston explained. “Tuesday night. Just got hit with a baseball. Going to be a pro about it and keep going.”

“We’ve done a lot of these and we’ve never had that happen before,” the announcer said, clearly holding back laughter, before asking if the coach was alright?”

“I’m good to go guys,” Kingston shared. “You got to be a role model for your team, right? You got to be a good leader for your team.”

The Gamecocks had a 3-1 lead going into the sixth inning before falling to the Tar Heels 11-3 Tuesday night.
